Respondus LockDown Browser - Overview

Respondus LockDown Browser (LDB) is a secure browser for taking an online quiz, test, or exam in Canvas. LDB prevents you from printing, copying, opening other websites, and accessing other applications while you’re taking a quiz, test, or exam. LDB should only be used for taking Canvas online quizzes, tests or exams; it does not work in other areas of Canvas.

Students can find information on how to download Respondus LDB in their Canvas courses once they click on an enabled LDB quiz. Not all courses use Respondus LDB for online quizzes, tests, or exams.
