What ArcGIS tools are available?
Esri’s ArcGIS products are available from Georgetown University Library, including:
- ArcGIS Online, including:
StoryMaps
ArcGIS Community Analyst
ArcGIS Business Analyst
- ArcGIS Pro
- ArcMap
These ArcGIS products are available free of charge to all current Georgetown University faculty, staff, and students, regardless of campus or school affiliation for non-commercial educational, research, and service use. Access is not available to Georgetown University contractors or MedStar Health employees not appointed to the School of Medicine.
How can I access ArcGIS Online?
ArcGIS products are available from the Library’s Esri Software Guide. This includes download links for software packages, installation instructions, as well as links and account information for ArcGIS Online.
Is access to Esri products different for students versus faculty?
No. Georgetown students, faculty, and staff have access to the same range of Esri software and services, including full versions of ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap software packages.
Who can I contact for help with installing ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap?
Please view the installation instructions available from the Library’s Esri Software Guide. The Guide also includes additional support information.
How can I get help on how to use ArcGIS?
Georgetown University Library offers a wide range of support on Geographic Information Systems and using ArcGIS products. Visit the GIS and Geospatial Data guide for more information and look out for regular library workshops on ArcGIS and GIS topics.
With a free ArcGIS Online account, Georgetown users also have access to extensive training resources from Esri. Please follow instructions on how to access these training resources from the Library’s Esri Software Guide.
