Mobile Phone Requests - INTERNAL
If someone contacts the Service Center requesting any of the requests listed below, the agent can refer the user to their Business Manager---Georgetown Business Managers with the role of "GU Requisitioner" can complete such requests in GMS. (Click here for information on how a person can be assigned the role of GU Requisitioner.)
- Purchase a new phone and line of service
- Upgrade a phone that is on a GU account
- Purchase a line of service without purchasing a new phone
Otherwise, if the request is to:
- Change a phone plan to or from an international plan
- Cancel a line of service
- Transfer a personal line on to the Georgetown account
- Transfer a phone on the Georgetown account to a personal line
The agent should make sure to obtain the following information from the user:
- Vendor (AT&T or Verizon)
- Phone number
- Model
- User assigned to the phone
Once the agent obtains the above information, they should then create a ticket and escalate to "Technology Procurement".
