How to Update Your iPhone's iOS Operating System

Note: Make sure your device is plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi.

To update your iPhone's iOS operating system, perform the following:

Tap Settings > General > Software Update. If an update is available, you'll see information about that update available on your screen.
Tap Update Now.
